The Rex Barton Story

Rex Barton

The Rex Barton Story is about me. Welcome to my website.

My name is Rex Barton; my friends call me Hawk.

As a published author, I'm inspired to write about my true-to-life incidences and experiences from the U.S. Army Military Police, law enforcement, and special operations.

I write contemporary literary fiction (after the 1950s) that includes the following genres: Action/Adventure, Suspense/Thriller, Mystery/Crime, and Historical Fiction.

I have served in the following roles: United States Army Military Policeman stationed in Berlin, Germany, during the Cold War Era; Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff & Deputy Coroner, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department, California; Special operations unit, covert search and rescue missions.

As I look back, my life has indeed been amazing and has often been in danger. By the grace of God, I am still here to share mine.  Remember, we all have a story to tell. I encourage you to write yours.

My autobiography, The Rex Barton Story, has not been officially published; I have made it available to read right here on my website under "The Story" tab above, so please enjoy learning more about me. If my story touches you, I hope it encourages you in yours.

From My Heart

My Life's Verse:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

– Proverbs 3:5-7

My Prayer for All:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

– John 3:16
